President Trump Addresses Congress: Where, What, Why?

Tonight, February 28th at 9:00 p.m. EST, President Trump will address a joint session of Congress.  This is his first address to Congress, and his first televised speech to the country since he was sworn in on January 20th.

The speech will be shown across all major television networks.  This includes: ABC, NBC, CBS, C-SPAN, FOX, FOX NEWS, FOX cable channels,  MSNBC, and CNN.

For those looking for options outside of television, the White House will be live streaming at Twitter and PBS joined forces and will jointly live stream the speech as well.   Following on Twitter will allow you to follow tweets directly related to the address on the same page as the stream.

Through the media’s coverage, it appears that President Trump will mostly focus on the repeal and replacement of Obama Care, a rallying cry throughout his 2016 campaign.  Although it is unlikely that actual plans to replace Obama Care will be stated, the continuing rhetoric of a strong health care policy being introduced this year will be likely.

Sean Spicer, the White House spokesman, told the press that this address will be mostly focused on,”public safety, including defense, increased border security, taking care of veterans, and then economic opportunity, including education, job training, health care reform, jobs and tax and regulator reform.”

Well….that’s a lot to cover in one speech, huh?

Make sure to tune in tonight at 9 p.m. EST.
